With its canal-lined streets and golden light, Amsterdam offers an endlessly romantic backdrop for destination weddings. As a photographer based in the city, I know its rhythms: ceremony rooms above the water in the Grachtengordel canal belt, garden settings at venues like the Hortus Botanicus and the Hermitage, intimate dinners tucked into Jordaan side-streets, and portraits along the Amstel at golden hour. Late May through August holds Amsterdam's long Northern evenings, with light good enough for outdoor portraits well past nine; the soft brick-against-low-sun palette of September and early October is my own favorite for the city.

From oceanfront celebrations to lush garden ceremonies, Miami brings warmth, color, and energy to every wedding. I started my career here: Vizcaya's stone arcades, the colonnades at the Biltmore Coral Gables, the editorial-leaning studio days at La Vie Studios. I still travel regularly between Amsterdam and Miami, bringing the same refined editorial approach to both sides of the Atlantic. Late autumn through April is the season most couples choose; the light stays generous and the humidity finally backs off.
