I came up in Miami, shooting luxury weddings with La Vie Studios at venues like Vizcaya and the Biltmore Coral Gables. Those days were high-pressure and unforgiving: the kind of work that teaches you to read a room, move invisibly, and recognise the moment before it disappears.

From there I built a practice of my own, photographing couples across the U.S. at first, then across the Atlantic. Tuscany. The south of France. The canals of the Netherlands. Back to Miami when the day called for it. The travel built up. Eventually the question wasn't whether to base myself in Europe, but where.

Amsterdam is home now. The studio (such as it is) is the apartment near the Jordaan; the calendar is mostly weddings and editorial work in Amsterdam and across Europe, with regular travel back to Miami for couples and venues I started with there.

The practice splits roughly three ways: weddings, where the work began and stays primary; portraits, for couples, families, and personal-branding clients I trust to give space to; and editorial and corporate commissions when the story or the brand is interesting. The throughline is the same regardless of the format.

The approach is editorial: patient, observant, attentive to detail, but rooted in something simpler: showing up, paying attention, and trusting the day to be what it already is. I'm not here to direct you into a pose; I'm looking for the glance across the room, the unguarded second when you forget there's a camera in it. The photos that matter most almost never happen on cue. The job is to be ready when they do.

Most of what makes a photograph good happens before the shutter. It's the conversation a month before, the pre-light walk in the morning, the half-step you take to the left because you saw the look about to land. On the day I'm trying to be where you don't notice me: close enough to anticipate, far enough to stay out of the way.

Afterwards, every gallery is hand-edited in colour and black-and-white; nothing is run through a preset and called done. If the practice has a thesis, that's it.
